In January 2020 we will start our 8-week journey through the fundamental principles of Vinyasa yoga, Asana (body postures) and Pranayama (breath regulation).
This Yoga Immersion is for those newly embarking on a yoga journey, or interested in rebuilding the foundations of their practice to suit their individual needs. So whether you are still new to the practice or you would like to immerse yourself in your path, this course is just for you. Freddi and Dania will guide you through the eight weeks helping you to start your year mindfully and connected, with your body and your mind.
Each week, we will focus on specific Asana and Pranayama practices to create a stable foundation for your yoga path. We will give detailed alignment cues, assists and background information to create a safe space to mindfully experience body, mind and soul. Getting to know your individual physical constitution, you will learn how to use yogic techniques in a complementing and supportive way.

08.01 - Intention setting and building a connection of breath and movement

- Pranayama: Full Yogic breath
29.1. - Focus & observing the ego through practicing forward folds

26.02. – Union and Preparing for your own path

You will start each class with a short meditation to centre yourself and arrive into the space. This will be followed by an in-depth exploration of the 'anatomy of breath'. With each class, you will practice different breathing (pranayama) techniques and their physical and emotional benefits. You will then explore and deconstruct key yoga poses (asana) and learn how to practice them in a functional way suitable for your body. The practice will end with a beautiful savasana and a tea circle which gives you the opportunity to ask questions about the newly received knowledge.
This course is suitable for all levels and meant to help you rise from wherever you are at right now.
All classes will take place once a week in the beautiful ChiroHouse at Holzmarkt with panoramic views over Berlin and the Spree.
The course is guided in English. Mats are available onsite.
Spots are very limited to ensure individual mentoring.
About the teachers:
Dania is teaching with Yoga on the Move for almost 2 years now. As a psychologist, she is especially interested the positive effects of yoga on the mental well-being and it’s potential to counteract stress-related disorders. She teaches Vinyasa yoga and meditation.
Freddi is a trained Ashtanga Yoga Teacher teaching in several studios in Berlin. She is about to finish her alternative medicine practitioner training. She is fascinated about the holistic approach of yoga and loves to share her knowledge and passion with others.
