About the Event
Our special guest Navya Sah came all the way from India for the Berlinale and we are very honored that she will visit us at the Shala during her stay and share a soothing Yin Yoga class with us all.
This Yin Yoga practice is for you to unwind, let go and fully surrender to the now.
The class will focus on the concept of Nishchint (निश्चिंत), which means to be at ease, to feel satisfied, to feel light.
It is about following the way of nature and surrendering to what life has in store for us. Come tap into the abundant energy of life with some calming meditation, AUM chanting, yin poses for the legs and closing off with relaxing spinal twists. Tune yin with some classical Indian music as you practise, flow and meditate. Welcome to this journey of walking yin-to yourself along with yourself.
No extra promises, no fluff, just pure pleasure.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a non muscular meditative practise that works on the tendons, ligaments, bones, joints and fascia of the body. Did you know that almost 50 percent of our flexibility comes from these colder tissues of our body?
Yin looks easy from the outside but is challenging from the inside. We will hold each pose for anything between 4 to 8 minutes in our class. The sweet fruit of practising Yin lies on the time spent in each shape talking to ourselves and in quietening the chattering mind. The philosophy of Daoism guides Yin Yoga which is about surrendering and trusting the process. I invite to come trust the process and trust the flow of life.
Come, let us use our bodies to quiet our mind,
To come closer to our inner voice
To get comfortable in doing less,
To feel lighter.
Who is it for?
This is an inclusive class open to all age groups and inviting differences of all kinds. You are all welcome.
Move light, be light.
